Back Story 

When the monster race was defeated and banished to the Underground, the humans raged war against each other. They used nuclear weapons that killed all flora on the surface, and eventually seeped through the ground and into the Underground. In order to survive the Royal Scientist and his assistants used fallen human souls to stabilize monsters from the toxins being leaked into their world, some needing more dosage than others. But when a DETERMINED human falls and shows kindness to the monster race, being adopted by the royal family and becoming an heir to the throne, everything goes wrong.

Changes 

• the layout of the underground and surface is a toxic steampunk theme  

• Chara is the princess of the Underground and didn't die

• Asriel is alive and not Flowey

• Sans, Alphys and Gaster work as scientists

• Papyrus and Undyne work as the dynamic duo of the Royal Guard

• Frisk is portrayed as the 'Bad Guy'

• Flowey is its own being and is portrayed as a demon... because he is

• Gaster doesn't die or go missing
